Your engagement photos do not have to look like everyone else’s. In fact, you’ll probably have a lot more fun if you pick a location or incorporate an activity that is unique to you. I had so much fun hanging with these lovely pair who reached out to me to inquire about engagement photos in the city. My client really loves old world city architecture. They also love trying and exploring new eateries together. We decided it would be fun to hold their session in two different locations based on these combined interests.
Pioneer Square is an old historic neighborhood located near downtown Seattle. Tall brick buildings and Art Deco style design makes for a beautiful setting for any photo session. On a rainy late Winter afternoon, we ducked into this donut shop to capture some cozy couples portraits for their gallery. When it comes to Winter photos, natural window light wins every time.
After warming up with some coffee and grabbing a snack, we did a short walk over to King Street Station to capture some more carefree engagement photos. The architecture and layout at this old train station is simply stunning! I had fun playing with the milky white backdrop and hazy light that day. The rain had stopped, and all the gorgeous filtered light came shining through the windows.
I’m such a sucker for that soft, muted lighting y’all. It’s so romantic for a couples engagement or surprise proposal moment and they simply loved it. There was plenty of floor space, so honey, we worked that upper level like it was their own personal stage. Give me all the romantic vibes with couples that make my toes curl; I simply cannot get enough!
There is no need to be shy behind the camera when we’re spending time together. I’m there to help you feel comfortable and let you be yourself. If you feel stuck, I’m also there to guide and and play some background music that will help set the mood. It’s all part of the experience and I want to make sure you’re having always having fun!
