Early summer in Orange County is a great time to schedule your family photos. Marina Park in Newport Beach is so sweet for babies and toddlers because it gives you the best of both worlds.
Why Marina Park Is a Newport Beach Family Photography Favorite
A small sandy shoreline is perfect for dipping toes into and exploring without worrying about large waves. The draw of this park is twofold: a striking red buoy sculpture that adds a great color pop to family photos, and a small lighthouse replica nearby that gives you a sweet elevated view of the boat marina. Besides, it’s such a fun backdrop for families. This is one of my favorite Newport Beach spots for sessions with little ones.
After taking a look at my portfolio, this family really had their hearts set on a classic beach session. However, their session time was set around nap schedules for the twins, which meant photographing during a high tide window. Big waves and a narrow, disappearing shoreline aren’t the easiest combination with little ones underfoot. So, I suggested Marina Park as an alternative. They happily went with it and ended up being so happy with their photos.
