This recent at-home lifestyle family session in Long Beach ran almost entirely documentary. This family showed up deeply connected and fully engaged with their sweet toddler. He had just found his footing, having started walking only a month before our session. Watching his parents cheer him on and light up over every little moment reminded me exactly why I love this work. They wanted photos that felt like their own childhood: unposed, spontaneous, and authentic. I wish I had recorded the audio too, because the baby giggles were truly the best.
We moved through three rooms together: their bedroom, living room, and kitchen, then finished outside in the garden and on their front porch.
