Every year, I receive inquiries from out-of-town clients visiting Seattle for the first time or simply coming back home to visit family. This past Summer, I was lucky enough to receive a request for engagement photos for a couple visiting from Indiana.
My client had never visited Seattle, so she was looking for recommendations on what could work for a late Fall photo session. Therefore, I put together a location guide for her that included photos from past sessions at various locations accessible from Downtown Seattle, where she was staying. Ultimately, she chose Gold Creek Pond, which is about an hour drive from Seattle near the Snoqualmie Pass.
As a photographer in the Pacific Northwest, I deeply care about the environment and our community. Consequently, I practice Leave No Trace principles no matter where I am taking my families and couples for photo sessions.
For popular scenic spots such as Gold Creek Pond, I highly recommend booking your session during the week. This allows us to avoid the influx of weekend tourists visiting this location. Are you interested in booking a couples session? Or maybe you’re planning a surprise proposal? Simply book my couples session option online and I’ll be in touch to help you plan your day!
An important note: Gold Creek Pond is scheduled for closure for the next ten years beginning in 2025. Therefore, if you are interested in a family or couples photoshoot here, now is the time to reserve your spot!
