One of my most asked questions last year was how soon should we take newborn family photos? Unless you want to capture them when they’re very tiny, I tell my family clients that there simply are no rules. For smaller just born babies, consider that they will want to be held, snuggled and carried, so you will get lots of photos reflected with that closeness and intimacy.
However, if you want to capture more of your baby’s personality then definitely schedule a baby photoshoot when they’re at this adorable stage. You will get some cute smiles, and some giggles when you interact with them. A good age for this type of newborn session is anywhere from 7-10 months.
Winter and Spring is a great season to schedule your family newborn photos. The comfort and familiarity at home is the perfect setting for your newborn baby.
